"Oltre il Giardino"

TOGETHER to help the Burmese people, to give real help to the victims of Cyclone Nargis, in order to protect children from exploitation.

"Oltre il Giardino"

"Oltre il Giardino", is an informal school for children of Burmese Migrants in Khok Khloi township (Thailand).

The school was designed by Fr. Poon Nya Lar Bam, a Burmese monk from the Buddhist temple of Takuapa in Phang Nga Province. The monk, is very committed to giving spiritual relief to the migrants in his country. The School was established on 1 February 2009 and is now attended by 41 children. The location of the school, is in the heart of a large rubber plantation.

The costs that Moses Onlus actually supports are:

Construction of education and sanitation spaces, in an observance of the nature, using wood and bamboo.
Nutritional support for children.
Teaching materials for students and teachers.
Salary for teachers.

Supervisors of the activities are Ven. Poon Nya Lar Bam and the Voluntary Patrizia Saccaggi.

The intervention of Moses Onlus is structured to provide economic and organizational support to the activities of "Oltre il Giardino", involving families in the organization and partial self-support through a small contribution.

"Oltre il Giardino" is currently only attended by children of the nearest migrant communities but we expect to increase the number of the students arriveing from other nearest settlements and villages.
