\u201cKnowledge to promote coexistence\u201d (aka CFC)<\/em> is a 3-year project<\/strong>, that Mosus Onlus deployed throughout 2008 and 2010.<\/p>\n

PAT (Provincia Autonoma di Trento) co-funded the initiative. The recipients were thousands of Burma migrants from the Thai province of Phang Ngha, who escaped one of the most severe and horrible ethnic cleansing of our latest decades.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The project involved around 5,000 migrants: refugees who lived illegally in metal shacks, exploited and without rights and assistance of any kind.<\/p>\n

The target of CFC was to deploy health and educational activities, and professional training for adults<\/strong>. Those activities were also open to Thai citizens, to promote and favor the often difficult coexistence with Burma migrants.<\/p>\n

The House of Peace. Children from different ethnic groups and religions to build and promote coexistence.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The House of Peace was the reference point for all activities. It hosted a clinic and the school rooms for the adults courses.<\/p>\n

Also here we organized the shared activities between Burma, Thai, Moken, and Muslim children<\/strong>. The activities were the occasion for happy meeting, mutual knowledge, play and learning,\u00a0 with also workshops of batik <\/em>and photography.\u00a0\u00a0 All the projects were organized to favor the integration of the migrants with the local population<\/strong>starting from the very early generations.<\/p>\n
